Sophie Frost Interview

I spoke to Dr Sophie Frost – Consultant, researcher, podcaster, and writer – about her interests, her career path, One by One (An AHRC funded multi-year research initiative helping build digital confidence in the international museum sector, led by University of Leicester), and her podcasts. She also offered many useful advice to me and to people starting at the museum/arts sector. I heard of Sophie during my Digital Specialism course during my Museum Studies Masters at Leicester and found her ‘People. Change. Museum.’ during the pandemic, which I listened to obsessively while doing my health walks. I have been a fan since!

Alex Moseley Interview

I spoke to Dr Alex Moseley – Head of Anglia Learning & Teaching at Anglia Ruskin University, previously Head of Curriculum Enhancement at the University of Leicester. I met Alex when I was doing my Museum Studies Masters at Leicester; the Digital Specialism cohort spent 2 days with Alex learning about Playful thinking and Play and Digital. Alex is involved in national and international thinking around pedagogy and playful learning. We talked about how he got into play and games, about game theory, museums and learning. I hope this converstation will help other emerging museum professionals too.

Marilyn Scott Interview

I spoke to Marilyn Scott – Heritage and arts consultant, former Director of The Lightbox. We talked about her career path, her learning skills that led her to lead a museum, sustainability and her leading skills among other things. It was part of my Museum Association AMA goal to learn more about community engagement, learning in museums and management skills, which we discussed with Marilyn.
